Introduction: This course introduces students to the knowledge, skills and attitude necessary for owning and using a pistol safely. The curriculum will allow students to pursue their Tennessee Concealed Carry Permit.
Aim: The student will learn about pistol parts and operation, ammunition, gun safety, shooting fundamentals and pistol shooting activities.

- Pistol Knowledge and Safe Gun Handling
- Ammunition Knowledge and the Fundamentals of Pistol Shooting
- Firing the First Shots
- Scoring Targets, and Selecting and Maintaining a Pistol
- Continued Opportunities for Skill Development
Ammunition Requirements: 50 rounds of ammunition (not included)
Gear: Pistol, holster, three magazines, magazine holders, belt, wraparound eye protection, ear protection, rain gear, weapons cleaning kit, clothing appropriate for climate and conditions, and a water bottle or other hydration system.
